Citymapper is a transportation app. In May 2021, it raised £7.6m in a crowdfunding campaign. This campaign served several purposes: (i) associating core users with the success of the company, (ii) incentivizing users to become premium subscribers, (iii) raising capital to fund the operations of the company.
